Hereby I would like to invite you to a workshop on Demand Side Management (DSM) options for Samsø.
This workshop will happen at the 16th of January from 16:00 to 18:00 at the Energy Academy.
Smart grids are being researched in many places because they provide solutions for grid instabilities related to increased supply of renewable energy. Instability in a grid is undesired because it causes blackouts and damage the grid we use for daily life.
The erection of wind turbines in Denmark increases grid instability and when the wind blows to much energy is generated for your own consumption, it is therefore transported to Sweden and Norway at very low prices.
DSM helps to better make use of locally produced energy and therefore increases the benefits of renewable energy sources like wind turbines. How this works will be explained in the afternoon, but for now it is important to know that DSM can lower your energy bill significantly. Come to the afternoon and you will learn how.
