Samsø as both holiday spot and energy spot

On January 17, the Norwegian online newspaper, Netavisen, ran an article about Samsø and Samsø Energy Academy.

The article sets off with these words:

“Most Norwegians know Samsø as an idyllic holiday spot in the Kattegat, between Jutland and Zealand, but the small Island of just 112 square kilometre and 4300 inhabitants has become a beacon for societies all around the world”

Besides describing Samsø’s transformation to Denmark’s Renewable Energy Island from 1997 to 2007, along with the future projects at the Energy Academy, the article also mentions the feature story from the New York Times on January 17, 2015.
