Visit from Hawaii at the Energy Academy by video game designer and entrepreneur Henk Rogers Henk Rogers.
Henk Rogers came to Samsø to gather inspiration for the processes behind local involvement and ownership, as it is carried out with the locals at Samsø island.
Partly in relation to the island is self-sufficient in renewable energy, but especially in connection with the Energy Academy’s focus with Samsonians to transform the island into a society without fossil fuels like oil, coal and gas.
Henk Rogers is video game developer of the well-known Tetris game. Today Rogers puts all his energy to transform Hawaii for a society without fossil fuels in 2045. Private he lives in Honolulu and is self-sufficient with power from its solar cells. The electricity is stored in his own batteries from Sony so he is independent of the public power supply based on oil.
It is exciting that so large capacities choose the Samsø island to share knowledge and be inspired.
This week 47, the Energy Academy is visited by the US largest TV station CBC and also CNN has announced their arrival to the island same week.
