Not 2 days are alike on Samsø Energy Academy. In 2007 I moved to Samsø from Humlebæk north of Copenhagen in order to be able to stay at home and help my husband with his company. However, when they needed a book keeper at the Energy Academy, I took my chance. I haven’t regretted it, because otherwise I wouldn’t have met so many great people from Samsø, the rest of Denmark, and the entire world.
I really like that the local community and people from around the world meet here at the Energy Academy. I’ve got a huge network of people, and the job helped become more quickly integratedon the island than if I had stayed at home. I also like to help my colleagues and all the guests who stop by.
Because we’re a small organization we have to deal with many diverse tasks during the day which is a good challenge.
