Climate carrier is a part of the INFORSE project which focuses on the EU’s role and its influence on multiple topics including climate action, circular economy, citizen involvement, climate awareness, etc. This is done through different activities, one of which is Climate Carrier.
Climate Carrier contributes to the INFORSE by gathering youth from all over the EU to discuss the role of the EU in supporting sustainable solutions and tackling climate change. Young people in Europe show high interest in this topic through activism and demand for climate action.
The project will gather multiple groups of young people from all over Europe in online meetings where they can have a dialogue and discussion on the topics of sustainability and climate action. It will explore their experiences, hopes for the future, the EU’s role, and their own, personal role and contribution.
Climate discussions:
A set of online and in-person meetings brought valuable discussions on the topic of climate change. Young people from all over the EU and the United Kingdom joined and shared their experiences of climate change in Europe, discussed the EU’s work on it, shared how they would approach this issue, and learned a bit more about the EU’s work on tackling climate change. Some also shared their climate confessions with the intention to change those habits in the future. Each one of the participants enriched the project with their own valuable opinions and viewpoints. For the final part of the project we created a full day event in Aarhus, with two workshops leading up, where we brought together more than 200 people.
Our main event, the Community Climate Day was a full day open house of learning, sharing, and action. Participants engaged in diverse workshops like plant croquis, exploring biodiversity, a unique waste sorting escape room, a big conversations cafe and a ‘shine your bike’ workshop, everything culminated with live music and a community dinner. For this ending part, we were very privileged to have a group of 6 Kaospilot students to take on the ending part of the Climate Carrier project as their first semester project. They helped us plan and execute the final part of the project, they got the word out, set everything up for the final event, and even helped us reflect on everything afterward. Their energy and drive really pushed the project to new heights.
Further steps:
After closing down all planned events, we are working on giving a project an afterlife. Our hope is to take the gained knowledge from the meetings and use it to create materials that will help raise awareness and educate people, especially young people, on climate change and how they can get involved in making a change. The materials will consist of a video, an infographic, an educational blog post, and a book of confessions where others can add their own climate confession and set an intention to do better in the future.

Climate Carrier er en del af INFORSE-projektet, der fokuserer på EU’s rolle og dens indflydelse på flere emner, herunder klimaindsats, cirkulær økonomi, borgerinvolvering, klimabevidsthed osv. Dette gøres gennem forskellige aktiviteter, hvoraf en er Climate Carrier.
Climate Carrier bidrager til INFORSE ved at samle unge fra hele EU for at diskutere EU’s rolle i at støtte bæredygtige løsninger og bekæmpe klimaændringer. Unge i Europa viser stor interesse i dette emne gennem aktivisme og krav om klimaindsats.
Projektet vil samle flere grupper af unge mennesker fra hele Europa i online møder, hvor de kan have en dialog og diskussion om emnerne bæredygtighed og klimaindsats. Det vil undersøge deres erfaringer, håb for fremtiden, EU’s rolle, og deres egen, personlige rolle og bidrag.
Klimadiskussioner:
En række online og fysiske møder førte til værdifulde diskussioner om emnet klima. Unge fra hele EU og Storbritannien deltog og delte deres oplevelser om klimaforandringerne i Europa, diskuterede EU’s arbejde med dem, delte hvordan de ville håndtere dette problem, og lærte lidt mere om EU’s arbejde med at tackle klimaforandringerne. Nogle delte også deres klimabekendelser(Climate Confessions) med intentionen om at ændre disse vaner i fremtiden. Hver enkelt deltager berigede projektet med deres egne værdifulde meninger og synspunkter. Til projektets sidste del skabte vi et dags event i Aarhus, med 2 workshops lede op til, hvor vi samlede mere end 200 mennesker.
Vores hovedbegivenhed, Community Climate Day, var en hel dag med åbent hus for læring, nysgerrighed og handling. Deltagerne engagerede sig i forskellige workshops som plantecroquis, oplæg om biodiversitet, et unikt affaldssorterings escaperoom, en stor samtalecafé og en ‘shine your cykel’-workshop, alt kulminerede med live musik og smuk langbordsmiddag. Til denne afsluttende del var vi meget priviligerede at have en gruppe af 6 Kaospilot-studerende til at hjælpe med den afsluttende del af Climate Carrier-projektet, som værende deres første semesterprojekt. De hjalp os med at planlægge og udføre den sidste del af projektet, de fik ordet ud, satte alt op til den sidste begivenhed og hjalp os endda med at reflektere bagefter. Deres energi og drivkraft skubbede virkelig projektet til nye højder.
Næste skridt:
Efter at have afsluttet alle planlagte begivenheder arbejder vi på at give projektet et efterliv. Vores håb er at bruge den opnåede viden fra møderne til at skabe materialer, der vil hjælpe med at øge bevidstheden og uddanne folk, især unge mennesker, om klimaforandringerne og hvordan de kan involvere sig i at skabe en forandring. Materialerne vil bestå af en video, en infografik, et uddannelsesmæssigt blogindlæg og en Climate confession bog hvor andre kan tilføje deres egen klimabekendelse og sætte en intention om at gøre det bedre i fremtiden.
