RECET
Rural Europe for the Clean Energy Transition
RECET supports and enhances municipal and regional administrations’ and stakeholders’ capacity in rural regions to play a strong role in accelerating the green transition and ensuring local acceptance.
Project start: 01/10/23
Project end: 30/09/26
The project aims to build capacity and provide guidance on participatory processes and energy planning in regions in Iceland, Slovenia, Sweden and Spain. It supports a clean energy transition planning that is embedded in the territories and enables the development of community-driven clean energy projects that have local support and acceptance.
The Samsø Energy Academy transfers the best practice and know-how from the successful case study of the island of Samsø, Denmark. It carries out capacity building workshops and provides support on demand to municipalities and regions in involving stakeholders and activating their clean energy transition plans.
